The work began with a brass sheet. Small trapezoidal plates were hand-cut from it - blanks for the mirrors that will create reflections of the stone. Parts with sharp edges - no roundness yet.
Next comes the fitting. The mirrors are leveled, the excess is removed with a needle file. The work is slow, done by hand - no machines, only a needle file, a ruler, and eyes.
The carcass for assembling the system into a whole.
The stone - an oval citrine with a Millennium Concave Cut - arrived, to my surprise, from India. Warm, amber, with a good play of light, with an inclusion that makes it one of a kind.
