Tincal lab challenge
Continuing my exploration of the world of jewelry and art at large, I submitted an application to participate in a competition organized by the wonderful Tincal lab gallery (https://tincallab.com/). There is very little time left until the selection results are announced.
For me, this is an important milestone — one might even call it a moment of recognition, of reckoning — a test of whether the world truly needs what I create.
And yet I feel a transformation taking place in my creative work. In place of the free flight of imagination, a desire to please has begun to stir — which, naturally, makes itself felt, shifting the focus toward the opinion of society and quietly undermining my individuality. Well then — forewarned is forearmed.
